Vanessa's passion for movement started at an early age when she began to dance. Ballet was a big part of her life until her early twenties, when she discovered Pilates.
She received a full mat and apparatus certification from Ann McMillan Pilates (AMP) and later opened her own Pilates and Barre studio in Montreal, where she has been teaching since 2014.

Her passion for dance led her to complete a bootybarre® teacher training course with Tracey Mallett. Vanessa instantly fell in love with this beautiful fusion of Pilates, dance and yoga.
She is honoured to represent bootybarre® as a Master Trainer in Canada. Her bootybarre training includes: sliders, prenatal, postnatal, burn, platinum, bbarreless, sculpt and bootybarre bounce.
Vanessa completed her FST level 1, as well as continuing education with Stott Pilates and AMP including prenatal, postnatal Pilates, Pilates for osteoporosis, Pilates for athletes and more. Vanessa is also certified Yoga tune up® level 1 instructor from Jill Miller. She also completed continuing education with yoga tune® up including both Roll Model courses and core immersion. Recently, she also broadened her knowledge on bone health, osteopenia and osteoporosis by getting certified buff bones® instructor by Rebekah Rotstein, a leader in bone health, well known in the fitness industry.
Vanessa is a devoted instructor whose commitment to overall health, fitness and well-being translates into every aspect of her teaching. Her high energy, focus on proper technique, and ability to provide tailored correction to each client makes every class a success.

VPilates & barre studio is located in Montreal, in the Mercier-Est neighborhood in Hochelaga-Maisonneuve. This fitness - wellness studio specializes in Pilates and barre classes, including mat work and reformer. The barre-fitness classes follow the bootybarre® method.

Personalized workouts tailored to the clients needs
VPilates offers a wide variety of small group and private classes including: mat Pilates, buff bones® and reformer, bootybarre®, yoga tune up®, circuit and HIIT classes.
Mat Pilates, buff bones®, bootybarre® and Yoga tune up®
The mat Pilates, barre-fitness (bootybarre®), buffbones® and yoga tune up® classes are offered in small groups of 8 to 10 participants maximum, the groups are kept small to provide a good follow-up on each client’s needs, correct proper form and preserve the flow of the class.
Mat Pilates exercises work strength, flexibility, breath and posture. They also focus on getting better body awareness, gain balance and proprioception. Each class, your instructor will make you work your whole body to ensure that you get a well balanced, challenging and efficient workout.
Bootybarre® classes are high-intensity, fun and upbeat. Your instructor will guide you through a safe workout, where you will work endurance, coordination, strength and flexibility to the beat of the music. The studio is also proud to be the first in Quebec and second in Canada to offer bbarreless® classes. Theses classes bring your barre work to the center of the room, where you will get a dance inspired workout, that will get you sweating while toning your body.
Buff bones® classes are specially designed to help build up bone density and are safe for people with osteopenia and/or osteoporosis. This training system uses the latest research on bone health to create a well-rounded, fun class that will support your bone health while working your strength, posture and balance.
Yoga tune up® classes combine myofascial release with muscle reinforcement and proper alignment of the body. Self-massage with YTU balls will create awareness and a feeling of release of the tissues that have been rolled. The instructor will then guide you through a series of exercises and postures to more efficiently work the rolled areas and surrounding joints and muscles.
The Reformer Pilates classes are offered to a maximum of 6 participants per class. To ensure that the instructor can correct proper form, and alignment on everyone.
The Reformer apparatus has a spring system that allows us to assist or resist the exercises, to either make them more challenging or easier. The Reformer classes are easily customizable to the client’s needs and physical condition, allowing us to personalize the classes even more.
